How Do I play MP3's off Memory Stick (Eclipse CD5444)???

I thought the memory stick thing would be cool so I just bought this crazy all in one Controll panel/ Mem card reader for my PC.

Poped int he mem stick that came with my eclipse only to find the MP3's I had recorded on it from CD's in the HU were not actually MP3's they use some other file format!

So I coppied a couple MP3's to the memory stick poped it back in the HU and when I select them it simply displays file error and moves on.

I thought you were supposed to be able to coppy MP3's to the memory stick and play them off the HU? I also thought you were supposed to be able to coppy CD"s as MP3's to the Memory stick and then copy them to you PC at home?

Anyone know any work arounds?

Also anyone know the max size of the memory stick that the CD5444 can handle?

Memory stick only supports atrac format files. Yeah, I know..pissed me off too after I tried it on my 8454. Largest memory stick size is 128mb.

is there a way to convert them or anything WTH I jsut got allt hat shit for my PC to rear the memory stick and now it appears there is no use for it!
