How do i get the sound im looking 4??

I listen to alot of trance and electronica and I think Im looking for something a little different. I've tested the music Im interested in on my different setups and none of them have the sound Im looking for. Lower frequencies seem to take away alot of the detail in the upper midbass (150-250hz) and even though its louder, most of the SQ is lost, and the line between clean sharp bass hits is blurred. Is there such thing as a sub that will play frequencies in the 50-200hz (midbass) range with authority and detail? I also realize that other factors are involved. Is it possible to just get a much smaller box than normal and up the power a little to get the sound im looking for? Or can this all be solved with a good EQ? Im hoping to stay under $250 for the sub. I know a lot of you will probably think I should just get better components and properly deadened doors. Right now im running Pioneer 720prs at 125rms with well deadened doors and they sound great. But I want my car to sound like a Paul Oakenfold or Crystal Method concert. All help is much appreciated.

the sub is about 200-300 used though.

Could try a Massive Audio CW 12, they're around $250 and sound just as spiffy at the Mag IMO.
