so ive been wondering how components work, both 2 way and 3 ways with the passive radiator if it says its a 4 ohm set does that mean individually 2ohm a piece in series? or what... how does it work is it different with every set? asking cause im considering buying a comp set and want to run active, and was curios what to look for amp wise...

It doesnt split the power just the frequency. If you have this question "whats the advantage to going active if its gonna take 2x the channels on an amp and put same power to it? " You need to do alot more research before you make the decision to go active.

Search threads started by james bang it will give a good start.

I was wondering about the ohm load from the passives as well. My JL G2250 which is rated

80W RMS x 2 @ 4 ohms, 125W RMS x 4 @ 2 ohms . If I were to add another midbass to my components, how would I wire it so the ohm load would drop to 2? Parrallel to the amp inputs on the xover? but then I would need a HPF for the added midbass I rekon
