How close to the trunk??

What is the recommended distance between the tailgate/trunk and the enclosure itself?? I will have subs up, port to the tailgate......

I'd give it the MAXIMUM of 4 inches....

My port is pretty close, less than 6 inches and there's no turbulence problems.

I asked pretty much the same thing in another thread, and helotaxi said it should be at least the diameter of the port away from the tailgate (in not so many words). Well... it would have the most predictable output if placed that way, if it was closer it could either increase or decrease SPL as the trunk would be like a loading wall for the port.
