How can I install this unit into a 2004 dodge ram 1500?

But the Bestbuy site says it wont fit in a 2004 Dodge ram 1500. Can I buy a kit or something to make it fit? My trucks got a corporate din and a half. Thanks.

you need a custom dash. you need to cut it bigger, then use fiberglass & bondo to make it look nice.

A dremel tool is your friend.

I have a 1.5DIN dash, and i got that same unit to fit.

I have pictures of the process in my build log somewhere. Click the link in my sig if you want to see.

If i were you, take your dash apart and inspect how everything mounts up behind the dash bezel, see if you have room to cut/move stuff around to accomodate the double din. you may be able to fit it, you may not.

Going to take a bit of work and engineering to mount it.. It can be done if their is room back there.. I would suggest a flip out but the top of the dash sticks out and it won't let the screen fold back like you will need it to. You could try swapping the a/c controls with the headunit to fit a single din without too much modding..

It's going to take fiberglass or other moldable/sandable material to make it look good tho.
