How big of a difference would it be between

and the question is incredibly vague considering the countless other variables to consider when comparing these two. it could go either way depending on the install.

my perferance would be the two 05 xxx's. more cone area.

didnt buy a box. im looking to upgrade soon and really interested in the XXX series. I'm going for SPL and the box i guess i would have to go to MLSTRASS (think thats how you spell it) for a custom box.

I haven't heard the '06 XXX, but you would probably spend about $800 more if you bought used or unauthorized online. I owned a '05 XXX, and its my favorite sub that I've had/

Probably not very noticeable, unless there was a significant change they made that you are aware of, or can handle significantly more power.
