How are the new elemental designs?

I have a 13Ov.2 12" sub and I like it very much thank you. I am in the process of upgrading from the Memphis 500D that is feeding it currently. Great SQ compaired to other subs that I have listen to before (kicker, MTX, Infinity, Alpine, Polk, RF, Cerwin Vega, IDMAX). It is installed in a 1.1 cu sealed enclosure.

I wasn't planning on buying eD but I got it locally for $150 with the box. And for $195 shipped I think it is still a good deal. I still am thinking about getting an Avalanche or RL-P in the near future.

eD has it's lovers and haters throughout the net. You'll either have a good or bad experience with them, but that's the risk you take when purchasing from a net based company. Do some research, you'll find the pros and cons.

As for the amp, A/B amps are not such the inefficient current hogs many believe them to be. The efficiency increases as you get nearer to full output and can rival that of many digital amps(70%+). They tend to run a tad hotter and require a bit more surface area for cooling, but when it comes down to the lower power amplifiers, they're right up there with the digital amps.

True. But you also have to remember that with music at a normal listening level, you aren't going to be using anywhere near full power. And, as you said, A/B's get more efficient as you approach full output. But at 1/3 power (where they'll mostly be used), most are only in the 30-35% efficient range, whereas a class D at 1/3 power will be in the 60-70% range.

That's why I added that with the lower power amps, like the particular USamps model that was in question, he's not going to be seeing a great difference. I mean, we're talking what, 3-4 amps max. Should hardly be a problem for him.

Holy crap that's some bad feedback. I really don't have a problem with the fact that their items crapped out every now and then (what company has never had a problem with a particular line for a while, it takes time to fix things) but the fact that they generally (according to those people) seemed to dissappear all of a sudden when problems started occuring really makes me wanna not mess w/ them.
