How are Kicker CVX's compared to the L7?

How are the Kicker CVX 12s compared to the L7 12s? They both are 1500 watts max/750 watts RMS. Which sub sounds clearer?

it really depends on the box, since they require different specs. the cvx will probably sound better, but not get as loud.

one is square, one is round. the cvx had the same motor as the last l7 so....

i would say so. like i said though, it's box dependant and install. L7's need a larger box then a cvx also.

cvx's can get plenty loud. they have less cone area than the l7 so if all variables were the same the l7 SHOULD win out in terms of SPL. Sound quality has way WAY too many factors for me to speak on. My old L7 sounded beautiful btw

ive had dual set ups of both.. and i think the CVX subs (what i have now) hit harder and sound better than the l7 subs.. they sound better and perform better, the L7 subs can just go a bit lower i think.. but the cvx subs in my opinion were way better over-all..

nothing else, well maybe sound dampening, but nothing else IMO since u can't image a sub. its unidirectional

well if your looking for SQ.. kicker doesnt make subs for SQ purpose, they go more towards the SPL side of things

but if you wanna go kicker and go SQ and are in a toss up of cvx or l7, youd go with the CVX for SQ.. the sq is better than that of the L7

Neither are sq drivers. For the price of either you could get something more geared for sq.
