hey whats up guys iam new to the fourms so i will start out by tell ing you my name and what i drive.my name is sam i drive a lexus LS 400.i just got rid of 4 tens i had.i have a question.my friend just gave me a box for two 15s(slot ported)and i want to bulid a nice loud system.but here is the catch i dont have any money only like 500 bucks.so i was looking and i found ma audio.i was looking at getting 2 MA15D4s and a hard kore 1800 watt ma audio 1 ohm stable mono amp.

You're about to hear a ton of people bash MA Audio. 99.9% of these people have never owned anything MA Audio. Probably 95% of them haven't even heard anything MA Audio and are just repeating what they've seen and heard from others. With that said, I've had two pairs of MA Audio subs. Were they the best subs in the world? Not at all. Were they pretty freaking good for the price? Yep! I'm not familiar with the MA15D4s, so I can't help you with that particular model, all I can do is tell you about my experiences with their products. In my opinion, they're pretty good for the price.

MA Audio isn't bad but there are other subs that you can get for around the same price if you look hard enough.

Dont know about the early stuff, but the recent amps are great. Even the HK series are very nice... the fact that they rate their power at 17v gives them a bad name. Great product for the price IMO.

If I were you

Pick up a used 1200w amp

two Kicker Comp VR's

And put the rest towards new coaxial speakers for the car with a 4 channel maybe

But that's just me, I've owned some MA Audio, no subs though. Their amps are decent, never had an issue out of the one I owned but keep in mind they are somewhat overrated.

I think you'd be happy with it, but I think you should open your mind to other things

You can get two kicker Comp VR 15s with a decent amp to push them for 350 if you look, and for 150 you could pick up two nice sets of coaxials and add some clarity to your music, but keep in mind that your words are going to be drowned out with two 15's, more than likely. Especially if they're not amped.

No links for an amp, but you can pick up a used Viper 1200.1 or something of the likes for relatively cheap and it would push them nicely I'm sure.

Sorry for the long explanation, just posting what I think.

You wont but unhappy with either selection, but you're more than likely going to be more happy saving a little money for something else as well.

Just my opinion. Bump for more opinions.
