HOT amp.

I have a hatchback, and there is nothing really blocking my amp from the sun. On days like today (really hot outside) it gets really hot before I even use it. Then I'm scared to use it because I'm afraid of cooking it. Any suggestions?

tint, move amp, fans for it. put a bag of ice on top of it. sun shade.

I use to place 120mm computer fans over my amps as I had a few 12v ones

the amp i have only overheats and goes into protection past 185 degrees so i guess on a hot day it may get hot, you could just mount it in a vertical position as the heat will rise off it through the heatsinks

Probably best to put some kind of shade over it. A peice of card board would work.

i just put a blanket over my sub and amp when its parked so the sun doesnt beat down on it
