Hope to have room for an 18

Here is the deal!

I have a 2006 Hummer H2. I am currently putting together what I consider a mid to high end system!

I have the H2 model where instead of having a full 3rd row bench seat, it has a single captains chair and then open cargo space. The sub box is going to be in that cargo area.

The problem I have is that I was really hoping to fit a single 18" sub in that space. Was thinking about Incriminator Audio or a sundown in a sealed box.

I am horrible at evaluating if I have enough room to accomplish an 18.

The max dimensions the box can be are as follows.

19" wide X 36" long X 21" high.

Do I have enough space to fit a single 18"?

Would a single 15" sub be better?

Is there a better sub for my space that you guys would recomend other than the IA or the Sundown?

Thanks for the help guys!

ia ftw

with 8 cubes you can do an 18" ported also. 5-7 cu ft ported. Mach5 Audio 18"s do well in smaller spaces.
Thanks guys! Really the problem is the dimensions of the box! If I face the subwoofer up towards the roof, I will have a 19"wide X 36" long surface area. Is 19" wide enough room to mount an 18" ?

If I mount the sub as a rear fire, then I have 19" X 21" surface area.

Is it possible to mount an 18" with that small of a mounting surface area?

19 is almost perfect for all.. I fit an 18 holes and all in 18.5 of space.. no joke

It's more like 6.5 cubic feet before sub and port displacement if you use a double baffle.
actually its 6.8 net and if you wanna do ported i would suggest doing aero ports as they wont take up much airspace and a box 6 cubic ft tuned to 36-38hz would be great for an 18.

Internal of the box would be (If using a double baffle) 16.75" x 34.5" x 19.5" and that gives you 6.52 cubic feet before sub, port and bracing displacement.
