hooking up one voice coil?

Using only one of the two coils in a dual voice coil woofer will change the T/S parameters. There will effectively be less copper in the magnetic gap, so the BL (magnetic strength through the wire in the gap) will be less. Therefore the Qes will be less, and of course the Qts will be less. Adding resistance to connect the other coil will not help. Ideally, if you had to use only one coil you would want to retest the woofer and get new T/S parameters and use these to design the enclosure. Remember that the power handling will now be 1/2 of what it was using both coils.

Where the hell did you buy them from? If they won't return em, that shitty. Have you called the company? My guess is no....call them up and return them or make them send you a third for free. /thread
