hooking up an active subwoofer

so my friend just got in his subwoofer, and we're stumped on how to hook it up

apparently i can't figure out the code to post an image, any help is greatly appreciated though

thats the back of the subwoofer...

it came with 5 of these wires

all i know is the black is ground....

no clue at all what this is

nor this

this too

and thats the rear of the headunit

there is also an unused wire that says AMP REM MAX 0.3v sticking out of the rear of the headunit

any help is GREATLY appreciated!!!

RCA out from HU to RCA in on sub. White plug on bottom right has: power, ground, & remote wire from HU provisions. No different than hooking up an external amp...

first off what brand model etc... do you not have the owners manual? look for at the manufacturers site...

what car is it going in?

what head unit...?

simple the plug with the black wire ( ground ) and the yellow wire is for the power

the other various connectors plug into the sub, and wire to your speakers.

looks like you have the option of tapping into the rear speakers for the subs source, or using rca's to it..
