Hooking amp/sub up to stock system

I have an 02 ford lightning and I am planning on hooking up a MTX thunderform box that comes with 2) xtant z104 10" subs. I am planning on running a profile ap1000m amp which puts out 500watts RMS @2ohm, but I don't think it will take high level speaker inputs, so I was going to hook up an LOC (line out converter). Before I do this, do you know of any amps in that price range that will accept high level inputs, or if I have to run an LOC, which LOC do you recomend, and how do I hook one up. I know you run it off your rear speaker outputs, but I still want to be able to have my rear speakers so do I just tap into the rear speaker wires from the head unit?

If you want a much better device than a standard old LOC and want to add control to your sub (a good thing) have a look at the new Audio Control LC6 + bass remote. It is a advanced LOC, line driver, channel expander and subwoofer level control all in one. Definitely worth having for the type of equipment you have and the ride it is in.

I have to second the LC6 from audiocontrol, AC has made outstanding products for a long long time.

Plus its just over $130 so its not too expensive.

I can maybe get it for less if you are really interested PM me
