They are legal in Minnesota...i had an extra set laying around from when i was into the ricer scene so i through them on my corsica along with some hoodscoops as a joke...i personally think it looks rediculous but its good for some laughs

Just get a used hood or align the latch so it works correctly.

yeah, used hoods are fairly cheap, but i need a new latch as well, and my car isnt worth another 100 bucks just so the hood closes. And i know i should have checked if the hood was shut, but i figured closing hood isnt that difficult, and he slammed it well, and even pulled up on it after......i drove my car for like 3 hours on the same freeway before it came open, so maybe it wasnt his closing job but it makes me feel better to blame someone else.....i know it was just as much my fault though
