Truth is, the industry has disected sound reproduction so clean and clearly that they have just about everything IE....marketing plans based on technology already pattented. Its all based on time and their profit margins/lack of.
The corperate part of audio isnt what I have interest in anymore. The reality of it all is, if you want pure and flawless sound quality..... you wont find it in a car or truck. It is fun to explore new ways to try to achieve, but not possible. This is just 1 reason why we compete in IASCA and USAC. Its a nice clean hobby.
With the amount of CLEAN power it takes...or will take to hit a good registered 200db (which IMO is insane to persue) a guy would need more money than sense to try. You would have to manufacture the amplifiers yourself and most likely the RTA/SPL meters as well.
Harman has the pattent for NHT plate transducer technology, and has had since 1995 and wont release or utilize it due to greed. Im just wishing I had never signed that disclosure agreement with them.
I apologize for the rant.
