Ive been thinking about getting a honda prelude. They look good and get good mileage IIRC.

not trying to build a race car/rice mobile, but it may get a turbo and other AEM stuff.

question is, is it worth it? or just buy a new civic that gets 50 MPG and dont worry about looking jdm?

Which prelude? I only liked the last body style they made before they were discontinued. The bodystyle before that was ugly IMO and had that weird electronic-ish dashboard and the bodystyle before that is just plain old and outdated now.

Get an RSX instead, or find a Type R Integra. My buddy has a later 90's (98 I think?) red type-sh prelude I think it is? He has 17's on it and an intake and Tanabi exhaust, I like it but I like my RSX more. I get 30mpg with mine fully loaded with ish.

preludes get fast quick, i bought a built one for $600 that needed a little work, and $300 later it dyno'd at 280hp All motor. I sold it because im a big boy and its a small *** car ('95)

The newer body style preludes = yum, I dont like the older body styles whatsoever.

They get fast quickly

And

A new civic, although it wont be FAST, will be very reliable, look pretty decent with minor add-ons, and get amazing gas mileage.

That's my vote, I was a ****ing IDIOT for getting rid of my 06 that was paid for.

A local tuner crashed his turbocharged Lude and swapped the setup into an Odyssey Van. In his defense, he was given the van because it was one of the V6s that had the curse of the failing automatic. Regardless, I still get a laugh out of the soccer mom mobile that can run in the 14s every time I see him messing with someone.

A mechanic friend tried to give me a H22 to drop into my 1997 Civic EX. I was all for it until I found out that I needed $1,500 motor mounts and would have to delete the AC and power steering.

Lastly, if you want a Lude, I say go for it.

im getting the latest body style if i get one.

its that or a new civic. what kind of gas milage am i gonna expect if i turbo it and start adding performance parts?

why not get something nice, instead of modding up a POS:confused:
first off. im white. in answer to your above post douchebag.

second. give me a good reason why a prelude is a "POS" and ill reconsider.

i happen to know that honda makes a very nice engine and a very goo d reliable car.

It's a ****ing Honda not a race car. But if you think a prelude is a "nice" car then suit yourself. You can pick up a nice altima or even a maxima and not be seen as a ricer. But your probably young and turbo honda's with huge wings is probably your thing.
