Honda OBD codes/ check engine light's on.

well i have 2 o2 sensor's, one before the cat, and one after... i was thinking those where bad?

but you guys think it's tha cat huh?

the code was ( p0420 ) (irony haha)..

but my honda mechanic said it's a falty cat.. sumanabish!

can't visit google at work. aint that a bish..
my honda mechanic said replace it with a factory cat, 9 out of 10 aftermarket cat's wont fix the problem.

so im gunna have him order me a factory cat.
Could be, before I went ordering parts I would check the codes on honda scanner or check them on the dash at the CEL. It may tell you faulty 02 sensor instead. My impression was he used a generic reader, which wouldn't give you as specific as checking the actual trouble code.

it was a factory Honda dealer OBD Scanner.

pulled a code that lead's us to faulty cat.

so he is checking on how mutch a factory one is...

and my old cat, what do i do with that? throw it away or take it to a metal recycler and get money for it??

you can bring the old cat in and get i think like $40 for it, people go around stealing them to make money.

a stock cat from a dealer is probably going to cost way too much
