But thats a bone stock H22, my friend has an Ls/Vtec swap with internal work done, turboed and is getting it tuned within the next 2 months and its being built with good parts and done the right way and it is going to be fast.
But how much will that cost though? A LOT! I'm just trying to say that you can get A LOT more for less. If you want something killer. . . Datsun 240 with a Chevy small block. It will pass emissions and it will be fast. Hell, I'll even take a Mustang 5.0. Fact of the matter is. . . you rarely see Honda's breaking 13's or even 12's, and even if you did, guess how much that cost them. If it's worth it to you to pour 15k into a Honda that still won't stand a chance, that's up to you.

Meh. . you're right. Hell, 5.0's are mean and fast with little work. Another guy said DSM's and I completely forgot about those. I'll take a GSX or one of the variations over a Honda any day.

you're comparing a 25k dollar car to a 5k car. Granted DSM's are great cars but if you think its not easy to spend twice the cost on one of those cars just on making it quick your crazy.

And i'd much rather drive a honda any day than suffer the indignity of being a neon driver. Much less a SRT4 driver.

If you're trying to be fast, at least get something decent.

Why do people insist on making the most outlandish, bold generalizations that aren't even remotely backed up by facts. And then when they're proven wrong they start complaining and talking about technicality's or things that have absolutely nothing to do with their original claim? You haven't done that yet. But if i was to show you 10 second hondas you would.

like just about every dsm driver does? i dont see whats wrong with it. whats wrong with enjoying what you have? running lowly 13's still makes you faster than a majority of people on the road. i could easily make the same point about a dsm or srt too. by the time you've blown all that money my car that costs atleast twice as much can blow it away with 500 dollars worth of mods!

the datsun? alot more work that most people want to do. the 5.0? maybe if the only think you're worried about is the quarter. god knows they're worthless for everything else. and if you think 15k in a ek hatch wont smoke cars.. you're just ignorant

 
is the h22 not the good prelude v-tec engine? i am not a honda guy, but i have seen it with my own eyes. 13.7 in the 1/4. all it had was a header(short tube), and cai in a 92-95 civic, i assume the 91 civic would be similar weight.oh and it was on slicks.
I own an EP3 si, and you cannot just drop an h22 in a civic and get mid 13s.

iirc you have to cut the firewall too to even make it fit, and do LOTS of custom work... a friend of mine wanted it and just decided to go ls/vtec ...
