Honda Accord Ski Port Box

I have a 1997 Honda Accord 4 door

I put a JL Audio 10W3v2 in the trunk in a sealed box firing through the ski port.

It does not sound that good.

It hits on some frequencies and not others.

I turned it around and fired it into the rear corner of the trunk and it sounds much better.

However, I do not want it this way. I use the trunk a lot and want the box up close to the rear seat.

I have 1 more of the JL subs and was wondering if building a box with 2 - 10's with a shared slot port that would fire through the ski port would work out better.

I really do not like slot ports but if that is what works best then I would do it.

I have plenty of power I can run a JL Audio 500/1 if I am going to use both subs.

Right now the one is running off of a MB Quart Amp

I am sure a few people here have an accord so what is the best way to get bass in the car?

as long as the box is not a prefab. and what MB amp is it?
I was thinking about an Ebay Pre Fab Box

I cannot make anything quality like that.

My wood skills are low and I live in a real rural area (ie. Farmers and well mostly Farmers)

I have a Mb Quart PAB 4100 powering the system.

Now I have another MB Quart D-Class Sub Amp I can use if needed.

I have 2 - JL Audio 500/1 and a JL Audio 450/4 I could use but prefer not to as I want to put them in the truck I am buying.

What should I do?

ya if its not completely sealed off its most likely not gonna sound very well like that. and as far as adding the other one/and porting, are you looking for whats the loudest with what you have or just sounds the best overall?

Do you mean sealing the front of the box to the rear of the seat?

Well I think I have something to try for tomorrow.

I am going to seal the box I have to a baffle that I am going to build that will be sealed to the back of the seat frame.
