I'm fixing up an 85 Caddy Eldorado to sell. I am basically fixing all the little "biach" problems with it and then putting her up for sale, the car was given to me, so there is no lost money until I actually start to do things besides clean it and remove faulty parts.
THAT BEING SAID....
THe headliner- including the hard backing is totally shot. I removed it today, it fell apart in my hands.
Has anyone made their own headliner? Or is it best just to find an OEM part?
I am thinking of buying 1/2" foam sheeting, cutting out trenches in it to hide the imperfections in the roof when I adhere the sheeting, and then covering that that up with 1/4 inch foam sheeting, to cover the gaps I may have between the 1/2" foam and the trim parts. Then, to top it off, I'd cover that with Beige microsuede like material I have laying around (free).
Any suggestions? THis needs to be as cheap as possible, I'm looking to make as much as possible on selling this car, my labor means basically nothing.
Thanks in advance!
