what could be used as soundeadning besides dynamat, I was thinkin of taking the interior out of my trunk and getting tar and coat the inside of my trunk then put aluminum foil over that? then when it dryes i put my interior back in

tar, bedliner spray, foam..

dynamat is thicker than tin foil so that wouldnt work well. foam works from what ive heard

color of foam doesnt effect the performance moron...jus get any old expanding foam wheather its blue, red, tan, ect. it all works the same

dont be foolish and use tar on the inside of your car it will stink for ever when the suns out, going cheap im all for , so go to home depot and get some gutter repair tape, looks like dynomat and cheap, 6 inch x 25ft for 16 dollars and it is not alphalt based... holds up great even in the florida sun over the summer

home depot or any hardware store sells some stuff called peal n seal (i thinks thats the name). it works, but not nearly as well as good deadeners like raamatt.

ive had peel n stick on the roof of my van now for over 2 years and not one part has yet to fall off, and i live in florida ..... you do have to clean the area first just like any other materal you use, and it does make a difference if i told people to knock on the roof of my van and told them i had dynomat in there they would not have a clue that it was peel n stick.. you cant tell the difference other than in the wallet
