homemade dynamat

i wasnt saying the color of foam changes anything moron i was giving a reference as to what kind i was talking about.
so stfu and expanding foam??

you are obviously the moron if you want him to use great stuff or any other of that type of foam as deadener,.

you fail at car audio and life.
lol i didnt see the aluminum foil part.
that would probably make it worse than it already is lol.
yes peal and seal would also work. maybe not as good as dynamt or wtv. but it will do the job.
huh i guess jcantone left cause i proved he was an idiot and doesnt want to pwned again?
no it just pisses me off when someone says im an idiot when really they have no clue about the situation or what i wrote.
not really. and it looks like *** when it is all dried up. it will probably just come off from all the vibration anyway.
im not being a hardass , people just have to learn to read and think about what is typed before making a response.
????????????
iim not gonna argue anymore.
then i must have used some shitty stuff. my bad.
Shut....The.....Fuck.....up.

Please.

peel n seal didnt work to well for me

I put it on the trunk of my BMW and it melted and got "tar" all over my amps and box.

It sucked to try to get it off.

I live in texas so the inside was above 90 possilby above 100. It wasnt really summer yet so I dont want to see what would happen in 100+

great stuff works as a deadner...stops rattles doesnt it...
Great Stuff simply fills in any gaps between metal pieces that might otherwise rattle, but it's not really a "deadener". Deadener implies some kind of mass-loading...

go look at 2000lades build of his van...he used it and he is in the upper 150's i think, and it hasent come apart...and it works great on sealing up areas that you dont want air to escape from...
Was his the one where the expanded foam is pushing out panels and coming out the sides of the wall?

i never really say much about ppl and most times i just sit and read the posts..but silvercookie..it is obvious you are a lil boy stuck in your room tryin to impersonate a tough guy..ive seen alot of your posts and you dont know Sh*t..you say exactly what someone else says..never have any originial ideas or good advice,..Does it make you feel good to act like an a**hole..your not hurtin anyones feelings or pwning anything,,ppl like you make these forums ****..go get your ba ba, stfu and learn

i dont think any of those would work but if i had to pick i would say foam.
i would never use foam... it holds moisture and will start to rott your car out... ever take a junkyard walk and see where somebody foamed a quarter or something... foams there, rocker and quarter panels arent thow

yea ok. how can you say that i say what everybody else says. mean while everyone on the forums says the same shit in one topic as someone else does in another topic.

and since when is 16 a little boy. im not trying to impersonate a tough guy so stfu.

and i probably know more than you.

and where do you get off saying i never have good advice or "original ideas"

show some helpful advice and original ideas that you made.

which probably isnt original or good

who cares if it is original or good. as long as it informs the person of what they need to know who cares who says.

so if JimJ said the same thing i said. you would say o you are un original and that advice has been given before. i dont think you would so gtfo.

and it is a little late when me and the op settled this about 2 1/2 hours ago. so good timing.

Closed cell foam does not attract nor hold moisture. And since closed cell is the only foam worth a shit to use in sound deadening, I dont really see a big rust problem.

You rank up there in the category with ryanroma.

and that means ??????

i dont know why he is saying shit when it was settled 2 1/2 hours ago.

people need to learn to mind there own business and stay out of an arguement if it does not involve them

then again this is ca.com

Deadening implies more than mass loading. Closed cell foam will absorb sound, making it an effective noise barrier... a very good one actually. I call that a sound deadener.
True.

I guess I said that because my usual use of closed cell foam is like what I'm doing with it in the BIB's...backing behind the driver to help clear up the midrange...works nicely for that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
