Home theater receiver in a car?

Sometimes I think it's just easier to buy an DC/AC inverter and hook up a decent receiver and a slim PS3 and call them a headunit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif I can't really think of any cons of doing this besides 1. fitting it somewhere and 2. would it still work when it's 110 degrees or -30 degrees outside? I know most receivers are designed for 8 ohm speakers but they can all run 4 ohm just fine as long as you don't try to push lots of bass through it, in this case you won't because you'll still have a normal amp for subs. Plus you'll gain a Blu-Ray player and full 1080p HDMI, not saying you need that in a car but at least you have the best.

if your car was your home then that would be a good idea...

me too!

a gas generator would cost as much as a big inverter, save you some money there. you could even hook up your gas tank to the generator and run the exhaust through the catalytic converter to make it safe for the environment.

or you could buy and amp kit and some wire and stop being lazy,
