home theater/ amp under $300

Well i am making my christmas list and i think i would like a decent home theater/ amplifier. I want atleaste 5ch.+subwoofer. I think i should keep it under $300 to actually have them consider it. Does anyone own or know of a good quality theater for under $300? I know that a very can get expensive but this is going to be from my grandparents. Please help me out. Thanx

i like circuit city site cause theres alot of reviews,but remember just cause it sounds good to one does not mean it will sound good to you,the best thing to do is to go in and listen for yourself..but youd be suprised how many options you have for $300 especially on ebay..
