trust me you can get a pretty good boom if you know what you are going...wrap the paper extremely tight into a canister...get a rod or pipe and wrap the paper around it...put epoxy in one end...let set up for a few min until hard enough to stay put...if you dont have a mortar and pestle...find some way of turning the black powder into powder...put a lil bit in at a time and pack it down good...put a wick in and then fill the end with epoxy...let set over night and you have something that can pack a wallop

but ya just get those thick *** threaded pipes like 4 inches long and like 1 inch wide and thread one end hella tight then same with the other end but with a little hole on top for the wick.
