Ok so i dont like the original design of the factory sub enclosure + mine didnt come with one and im not paying $$$ for that ugly *** thing, so i spent about a week and 60$(including speaker) to build my own, i could have platered it, could have fiber glassed one up, hell even bondo... but i work differently than most, after ALOT of studying on how to build boxxes (ive built many in the past) but i wanted to get this one up to air space dampen code., so i decided to replicate particle board, only mine is MUCH more dence, only 3/8' thick and the entire box weighs 1.1 pounds (yeah thats right) and the walls are dence enough that no matter what speaker/or amp they will not reverbarate, the enterior volume is exact minumum for a 10'' speaker which i ended up with 1.3cubic feet. anyway, all i have hooked up is a 120 watt amp (tests were done with a 750watt bridged alpine) it sounds awsome with the 60 watts its getting, i will go bigger as soon as my wallet does the same., my buddy has a 12'' pioneer with a 750 watt amp, his is slightly louder than mine with the 60 watt, but when i used his amp, my 10'' blew his 12'' AWAY! everone was suprised at the sound it produces, nough chat heres the pics.., oh and the box is perfectly form fitted the the stock box location, and is eaisly removable for servicing., and i sprayed the box with a secret sealer (thats why its black before i carpeted it)
