Hollow sounding subwoofer?

i know nothing about audio...

bought a Klipsch Promedia 2.1 system,

the subwoofer tends to have a 'hollow' sound hitting some notes... where it just sounds like its burping or something...

anyway to elimnate this?

You might be running it out of phase with your mains.

Check to see if there is a phase adjustment...

Otherwise it might just be how the unit sounds...

what is this hooked up to?

Reciever, Computer, etc.?

its hooked up to a computer, running windows vista... i don't believe there is a thing to change the phase, i will look later...
