Bimma ~ let the Chinny thing go, mang! It had to have been Goob that lifted Chinny's ban to begin with, dude. I understand your feelings about scammers....don't get me wrong (did you not see my own participation in the ongoing Chinny drama over the several threads it was spread across?) but unless he cost YOU money I cannot see why you've made it your mission in life to give him trouble! lol

If it could be made to work like ss3079 and I were discussing above I think it could be a good incentive for members to moderate themselves knowing that they could be bounced immediately for a set period of time if they cross the line to a sufficient degree to warrant such an action.

And like I said before, if it wouldn't work similar to our discussion ... I really don't think it would work out well here.

For starters I would suggest that Chinny, through all the chaos which has been associated with his selling practices here of late, will have a hard enough time selling anything here in the future. In this globalized marketplace and so many sales occurring between complete strangers it is the responsibility of the buyer to do the research to ensure the seller they are considering trading with is a reputable individual. Hence the feedback system on eBay and other dedicated online marketplaces though like anything else, they have their flaws. Well, do a quick search on 'Chinny' and see what pops up for you. If you had absolutely no idea about Chinny's history here and then were exposed to the myriad of threads concerning that exact subject would YOU feel safe buying something from him? Realistically, I think your job is done, dude!

I just thought of something that may be an excellent and very easy addition to this forum... A "Deals" section.

There are "deals" forums out there, but none really get much Car Audio specific traffic. It would be awesome to create a section here that is molded around the same concepts as a good deals forum (must be an actual good deal, before posting check pricegrabber.com to be sure it's really a great deal etc., don't post if it's a shady dealer, include "after rebate" or "with price-match" and store name in the title of the thread, no eBay posts, etc.).

I think it would be extremely helpful to our members and would help some folks out, plus maybe fun for some senior members who actually know a good deal when they come across it.
