Holes in my voicecoil too small?

Ok so i got a 15" mag and im trying to wire it to 1 ohm. Ive got 8 gauge wire and although 1 fits perfectly in the hole, I can't get another one in to get it from the sub to my amp. My question is...am I wiring this wrong, or do I just go to a smaller gauge wire.

do you have 2 sets of speaker connections on the amp? if so just run seperate wire to each coil

If your talking about the jumpers, just strip the wire in the middle and run it through...I dont know why more people dont do it, it looks so much cleaner...

on a mag u cant use 8 awg when u do that tho

the wire that runs from the amp to the terminal, and the jumper to the other terminal...just run one continuous wire, stripping it in mid-wire for teh first terminal and at the end for the second terminal....make sense?

twist the two 8gauges together as tightly as you can then solder the ends?
