Alright fellas, after a long wait (thanks to UPS) the Premier is in. I ran it through a break in period of about 9-10 hours, giving it just enough power to reach full stroke. I pretty much varied the break in freq varying it from around 25-50 hz, although it really doesn't matter just as long as you "loosen" it up so to speak. Anyhow down to the nitty gritty. The woofer was in a 1.15 cuft. enclosure and givin approximately 400-450 wRMS, crossover set at 90 hz. Ok now on to the big stuff. The Premier got somewhat loud, but it is definitely not an SPL sub by any means, it shook the mirrors fairly well, rattled my nose a bit, and probably shook out a little excess ear wax, but I believe there are several woofers out there for approximately the same price that can get louder given the same environment. I also noted that this woofer really needs some decent power to perform. I've seen other woofers put out decent numbers with vary little power, but you really have to crank out close to 150-200 Wrms to really get a nice bassy feeling. Now on to the SQ side of things: I was fairly impressed with the SQ, that's part of the reason I chose the Premier. The woofer responded very well to from the mid 20's to upper 30's. I was very impressed with it's ability to reproduce quick low end beats. Now the midbass portion is where the woofer starts to get a little off key, not by much, but it just doesn't seem to hit the notes as accurate. Overall this woofer definitely performs quite well, and I would give it a 8 out of 10, noting that their are a few woofers in the same price range that are capable of ousting the Premier, quite notably the Type R's that I recently reviewed. But if you want to try something different, (as I notice a lot of people with Type R's), the Premier would be worth looking into. If there is anything I left out, please let me know, I'll be glad to answer any questions.
