Let me check the setup. I think it may work the same way it does in the 94+ 4.3s

From a quick search looks like the same setup just on the other side of the motor. The only issue you may run into other then needing a longer belt would be using washers to space it out or grinding down the mounts to set it back farther. Not sure if it would be 100% bolt on as it may be off just a tad on the line up. It will fit though.

Didn't have it in any car. Its brand new. And I'm not 100% sure if it will fit.

Well it didn't fit my 93 caprice soo I dont know.

But I doubt it will fit. But you can always make it fit with custom brackets.

I was going to ask if you bought it for your Caprice. It's got the wrong front bracket on it to fit a TBI Caprice or an L99/LT1 car. To answer your question, the 4.3L V8 is the L99. No. it's not going to fit. If you have the K68 alternator (CS130 small case) you can fit a KG9 (CS144 large case) from a car that had it, whether it was an L99 car or an LT1 car. You will need to change the rear support bracket to make it fit though and upgrade your wiring because the stock ring terminal that fits on the K68 stud will not fit on the KG9 stud. I have everything to do the swap on my L99 Caprice. I'll probably be doing it tomorrow after class.

In any case, good luck with your sale. That's definitely a good alternator.
