HO Alternator from ebay for 2500d?

Is this amp worth it or should I just get a 160 amp alt. from Motorcityreman? Will there a big difference in rebuilt vs. new? This is for an Orion 2500d, will it be enough? 160?

I'll laugh if you buy from motor city. Those alts are a complete joke. They fail ALL THE TIME. and you get no warranty support.

160 should be good, im running stock alt 83amps and it can handle it but Id like more, im getting a 200 iraggi alt soon and 1 more Orion 2500D soon.

hey i just bought a 160a alt from motor city last weekend. it was only 129.99 u cant beat that.

The place has over 6,000 positive feedback and its 100%, it can't be that bad...........

I've had two. key word HAD.

There are a ton of other horror stories too. Voltage regs going bad, bearings falling out, pullies slipping off.

Why would you even do that? It's a stock alt that got rewound to produce a higher output amperage. ooooo yeah thats a great idea.

Where do you see 100%? Or the 6k postive for that matter, looks like they only have 2334 positive and a 99.6%.

I think people give feedback probably as soon as they get the item. They don't wait around to right the feedback when the product fails.

Should I forget about the cheap alternators and get a 220 amp from Excessive Amperage for 290 shipped? It sounds like it'd be worth it in the long run but Im broke and going off to college in 3 weeks

Nathan at EA has some awesome customer relations. I totally trust his alts too. Complete new inards, complete new custom case. Nothing reconditioned or rewound. Go for it. It'll be a better buy than anything off of ebay.
