Hmmmm... Subwoofer/Amp/Headunit Problem??

3 channel is quieter than using 2 chan too..and don't i need some sort of subsonic filter for the sub since my amp's lowest highpass is at 60
you know I have to be screwing up somewhere i just don't understand whats going on
Hmmm I looked up you're amp and it has a built in subsonic, so I don't think you have to worry about that?

Are the components on the correct channels? Is it possible that you're sub is wired to the wrong set of channels?

I'm sure you'll figure it out. For me, it always seems to be a really obvious thing that I overlooked haha.

radio doesn't really have crossover except lowpass but then i still need a highpass you sub doesnt need a high pass....

yeah another thing that would be nice is a 24 bit DAC but i think it sounds fine haha
.highpass crossover only passes the high freq from the setpoint......so if you have it highpass on 60hz....then it will start to play around 60 and up.....which you dont want your sub to do....understand???

k by looking at the amp.........since your using channels 3 and 4 for sub duty put the switch on Lp.....and put the freq dial (that says 30 hz to 250hz) in about the 11 o clock position .....try that......
^

This.

Tell us how it works out!

and your channels 1 and 2....which im assuming you have for your door speakers should be on highpass....can be set anywhere from 60 -90...depending on your speakers

wait now this is really enlightening, it has built in subsonic!?!?!? wow thanks but i dont see where it says that.. and youre right i just need to go over everything lol

Ahh i'm sorry this is really confusing lol.. i know exactly what a hp and lp filter do.. i just need to figure this stuff out on the weekend..idk what the problem is.. thanks to all though

okay.. i will try to explain..

- had amp in 4 chan mode with no highpass, sub was quiet

- put amp in 2 chan mode which means 60hz highpass with speakers, sub got louder?

hmmmm....i would disconnect the door speakers first and trying to hook them up to channels 1 and 2 first with lp on.....then 3 and 4 with lp on and see if that works.......

lol sorry, tomorrow i will have updates.. ive been busy with school, and you must unscrew the amp to change anything because it is right next to my sub box so you cannot see anything (bad planning)

okay, i couldn't figure it out.. i am just not getting good output when i use the subwoofer rca preouts on the headunit.. what i ended up doing was just using the rear rca preouts.. wish i could figure out if i did something wrong but its fine now i guess
