hmm, put myself in a dilly of a pickle

i went to go install my sub today, and realised theres no way to run the wires out of the box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

its a t-line enclosure and ive tried running the wires through the length's of port but it cant get past the first corner before getting bungled up on one of the 45* angles (theres about 3 of them, so if it wont get past the 1st , its not going to work)

am i just going to have to drill a hole through the baffle to feed the wires through? thats gonna look so ugly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blackeye.gif.66a1670f5aaf7f406e783a63e3387dc5.gif

yah that is going to look funny...if you can lift the box though you could tie a weight to a string then move it through the turns until it comes out the end... then pull the speaker wire though... just use a high tension string...

well the thing is, we had to take apart part of the trunk to get the box to go in, and then we had to pry some metal and kick the box in ... so basically its not coming out... period... at all... ever... unless we cut the rear support beams out from behind the rear seats or saw the box into pieces

im goin to finish up the install with rich and will probably post pics when its all over and done with... mayby a video or two //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

thanks again rich! (stratus rt)

If you can access the side or back you could drill a 3-4" hole to reach your hand into, then make a plate to cover the hole and put your speaker terminals in it. Might not look purdy, but if you can hide it then it'll work.

May sound stupid but I might go hit up petsmart. Buy a mouse or somethin' cheap. Tie the speaker wire to it and let it wander around in the port till it comes out the other side. lol

I like the mouse idea, but it would probably be easier to tie some strong fishing line around it's leg and then pull the speaker wire through with that. Or if your port's big enough just use a cat if there's one running around.
