So I've heard that some people are turning to really high end caps and running a ton of them on a single burp. I was told they do this a just recharge the caps.

Now I know batcap makes a cap that can put out 150 amps for 2 seconds. Buy 4 of those, 600 amps for 2 seconds for a burp. See what I'm saying?

Anyone else heard of this?

seems like it could be an interesting concept.

the only problem i really see with those is that it takes a term lab 3 seconds to register a number.

Well then it may be 400 amps for 3 seconds, you see? Find out how much current draw you have x how many seconds you need full current and you have a burp machine.

yea, but whats the real fun in competing if you cant do demos after your run.

also some orgs have a cap limit already in place. so that could become a pain in the ***. although i dont think meca does.

It's a theory, dogs. Seems like it may work. I think the question is how durable the caps are. Also, if you had a crappy vehicle, you could throw 10 grand of burping equipment in there and simply recharge after the run. You could theoretically not even buy an altor run any large gauge wire in the car. The only current providing source would be the cap. Very simple. Charge and burp. Don't have to spend money on a ton of batts, alts, and wires.

it would be nice not to have to drop a couple grand in the electrical system.
