So, did you wire in a switch to turn the amp off or did you manually just pull the remote all the time or what?weak remote wire from the factory amp source was my problem. then ran it strait to the batts in the back and i allmost jizzed myself. happy ever after. my hk4000d would cut out when i turned it up a bit and a bass beat hit. but never at low vol.
Is this Matt? This is Matthew Ballew. I have the 82 Cadi. I'm the one who had the fitment & plug problem. I got everything to work tho. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifYou need more current. The 200 amp unit does 125 amps at idle, and 200 when going down the road. That is why it only cuts out at idle. Adding more batteries would help, my HK's were rediculously power hungry, that's why I switched to 16 volt.
Thats not too much of a problem. I wouldn't mind adding a couple more but its hard to believe thats the source of my problem when the other 2 never cut off & the voltage meter on them all read within .3volts of each other... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gifYes. With Three HK's. It would really help with everything by adding more batteries..
It can happen. I had them too. When I went to 16 volt setup. Most of them didnt care about upgrading the 12volt turn on to 16 volts . Others wouldnt turn on if you didnt have the 16volt turn on. Just because they are the same amp doesnt mean somthin cant be off in each amp just a little bit.Thats not too much of a problem.
