Hit a 143.3 with 4 E8 Sundowns

Need some vidz! I think youve inspired me to try 6-8 of these now, you describe them as being just what id like, even tho im used to loud low pounding bass im sure lots of these little babies could work.

How much power do you think they will handle a peice daily? I know you said your throwing 250 to them, would something like 4-500 a peice work?

Alrighty just made some per request, they'll be uploaded in a minute. And I'm glad I inspired you, I have been so impressed with these things thus far and I impressed some people today for sure that didn't really think 8's could do what they did. Granted my numbers weren't unbelievable or anything but impressive imo. I'm very used to having a lot of bass as well but these things, for me, really fill the void and don't even make me think twice about putting 15's back in, not that I never would //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif, I'm just good for now. I've heard that they will handle 700rms daily but that wasn't my test, Jacob and woofercooker(owner of Sundown and the guy who made/sold me the subs) don't really recommend going too far over the rating and I personally won't be feeding anything more than 350 watts to each because they're honestly already moving soo much, as you'll see in the vids.

Yah that's true, I understand what you say though about the clarity of the amp, it's actually not even something you can describe to someone but you can hear the difference.

Mindlessly browsing i got to thinking. I wonder how these compare to the CVR 8s. They look about the same and have the same power handling, ive heard a cvr 10 and was very impressed considering what it was. Same price too. Sundown just looks cooler tho.

A buddy of mine has some CVR 8's. They just don't have the suspension to pound like the E8's. Granted, he's got them in a smaller, sealed enclosure so loudness can't really be compared. I keep trying to convince him to do a ported enclosure for them, but oh well. They just sound muddy when you really send them any sort of real power in excess of their RMS rating. Again... that's sealed. In a compact ported setup with some decent mechanical power handling, that could change, but looks like I'll never find out. Here's the Vids, there really isn't that much movement in the truck but I have deadened that things pretty well and the camera just doesn't pick up the things that vibrate inside.

Yesterday someone said my score would've been higher if the port was firing forward, anyone have any info. on that?
