Human vocals have a pretty wide frequency range. They can go down to abou 80 Hz, and even a little less. That's probably what you are hearing.

you will always get bleed through of the other frequencies through your sub, however it should be unnoticeable unless you turn everything else off and put your ear right against the subwoofer.

You shouldn't be turning off your highs. I don't see why one would do such a thing.

guess yout LPF just is not intelligent enough to discern Bun B's voice. Ever thought that maybe that voice track might have frequencies in it below what your LPF is set at?

i didn't know LPF had intelligence..

shallow slope maybe?

I guess the steeper the slope the more intelligent they are.
