Highest wattage for a 4 guage power wire

umm i forgot to clarify something, i got a 4 gauge wire from my batt, and im planning to distro block with another 4 gauge, with an 8 gauge. Will it still run around 1000w?

What amps are you using? How many watts are you going to be pulling?
well, im planning on getting an orion 3002 and a orion 1200d soo i guess

600+150=750 all together for now, and later on with my 2nd sub probly 1200+150=1350 all together but highly doubtful.

I'd run 1/0 gauge to the back, personally ...
What amps in particular ?
orion 1200d and 3002

i dont really wanna run wires through everything agian, its tougher to run wires in old vehicles than newer ones, take out seats (pain in the butt), drill even more holes in the interior, feed through under the floor panels, all that good stuff, but ill be okay with the 4 guage distro'd another 4 guage running 600w and 8 guage 150 right?

You might lose a little current.....It should'nt damage anything.
I think the bottom line is that it would be ok however you would not be getting optimum performance from your system
soo overall, the 4 guage running from my batt to the trunk is going to prevent my system from getting the optimum performance?

Honestly, 4 awg should really be split to smaller gauges. Not same size ones. So for instance, a 2 awg to a distro could be split to one 4ga and two 8ga. If you run 4ga you can ideally only split it to those two 8's. Anything more than that and you start overdrawing the wire.

LOL, there is an extra "s" on the last word.

Just take the "s" off and it will work
