High Powered Speaker Cooler Box Build!!

pictures_new.php
so this is the battery I decided on its a stinger spp925 that I got from someone on craigslist for 40$ and its fully charged and operational and It was a great deal.

and this is the picture of the cooler right after I cut my first hole for the subwoofer and im waiting for everything else to come in the mail to begin the rest of my cuts. I spoke to an acrylic shop about my idea and they said sealing the bottom of the cooler would be easy to do with the acrylic and a sort of welding for plastic called weld-on which melts the plastic to create a sort of weld and then put silicone over the top of that as a safety measure. Everything is falling into place and all im waiting on is the mail!!

once you get the image uploaded to photobucket

use these tags [\IMG] I am actually creating a guitar amp out of an old video game chair and 2 old school lightning audio 6x8s (already got it working just need an enclosure) thinking about mounting them in a small cooler same basic idea only difference is i only need 4 aa batteries to power it by

I'm in New Orleans and I saw some guy during Mardi Gras with a cooler, a head unit built into it, and four 6x9s and a 4channel amp as well as a battery in the cooler. He also had solar panels on top of it to charge the battery. It was really really loud. I wouldn't suggest putting drinks and ice in there with electronics as the condensation may short them out... Good luck!

so the battery was at 12.8v when I bought it but when I checked it today (3 days later) it was at 10.5v???? bad battery? or should I just take it to oreilly's and let them try to slow charge it or something? or is there a way to check and see if its a bad battery?

so I found out that the battery was indeed bad so I had to go and buy a new battery which came out to be a miada battery that is agm and around the same size. anyways... I finished cutting the plexiglass and cut it and sanded 2 1/4" piece and an 1/8" piece to keep from condensation... each with around a 1/2" spacing between them as dead space for insulation. so I'm putting it to the test right now and I filled it up with water and ice to see what will happen. yes I know its not finished but im not going to cut my top piece and finish the sub hole until I make sure this is going to work. so I send some more pics in a couple of hours and see where it went.

how does it sound?
its surprisingly really really loud. like loud enough that you don't want to be right next to it when its all the way up. The bass could be better but when I stuck it in my truck it hit pretty decent... its got about 1 ft of airspace so its in the right spot. I tested out the battery and I ran it almost full blast for about like 3 hours and the battery was around 12.1v so I bet it will run all day no problem. goin to new braunsfels on Monday so that's when ill be testing it out on the river.
