*High Power* 8" woofers?

Something that will outperform 2 12" Kicker L5's in a prefab box of a rockford t500.1 amp??

I have a 500w amp 2 ch., a 2k w mono amp, and a 2500.1 amp to work with... hoping to do a single or dual 8" ported that can outperform a couple 12's in spl..

Pair of sa8's in a good enclosure on about 1500-2k should be an upgrade

Yeah, I just got a new car and fiberglasses boxes into the side of the trunk for 2 12's... but a buddy of mine has 2 kicker L5's and he told me it would be hard to beat his system... so, I want to beat it with smaller subs. Lol. It's a friendly work thing.

Any ideas on which 8's?

Kicker L5's in a prefab wont be hard to beat, lmao. Sundown SA8 would be my choice..

It won't be easy to outperform 2 12s that have near the cone area of 2 normal 15s with 2 8s. Good luck.

Cone area or not... These are just L5's in a cheapo pre-fab enclosure... A Set of Sundown SA8 V.2's in the Correct built enclosure for Your vehicle will put those L5's to shame

That is a substantial drop off in cone surface.

i'd go with 4 8" subs ,shouldn't be a problem then
