High-pitched AM Radio Ringing

Hey guys, so basically the issue im having is the deck i installed in my car (not sure about model, i can look it up if its needed), is getting a high-pitched ringing when i switch over to AM band. FM seems to work fine, a little bit crappy on the quality. But i also notice the ringing gets worse and worse around overhead powerlines, and power-substations. YOu think it might be a grounding issue??
