HIGH OUTPUT ALTs

has any one purchased a single h/o alt. over 200 amps that lasted over 1year with out any problems?? ive called 4 shops and they all told me that the truth is that they dont last long period...that my best bet is to run dual alts. and that set up starts at about $1500. they also told me the biggest that my 2003 tahoe can hold in its factory case is the 145 amp that i have ,which came with the truck. any input?? please help

I have a 200 amp Mean-Green (benched @218) that has been going strong for over 3years with no problems what so ever.

they can last as long as you make them last. just take care of them.

you can get a 300amp for yours

and 1500 for a dual setup you wwould be gettin ripped
