High Level Input

The amp i have has these on it. It says REAR HIGH LEVEL INPUT and FRONT HIGH LEVEL INPUT.

Do these provide the same function as the RCA inputs?

And when do you use them? Do you use them if you are using the factory HU and dont have the RCA type jack?

so is that is the case, why do we buy external LOC if the factory amp already have these? Is there a difference with the LOC being external and it being built into the amp?

Not all amplifiers have high level inputs. Some will only accept RCA inputs.

Really, it's mainly only the more budget-oriented amps that have high level inputs. Most mid-level and higher amps do not. Not all...but most.

i was pretty close. i said most IF NOT all amps have them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

hehe.

well I guess I save me some money from buying an external LOC.

Would an external LOC a better quality(sq) than the amp's HIGH LEVEL INPUTS?

I know they are for using a factory HU with an external amp.

I think i understand the concept now though.

sorry for the newbie questions.
