Well here's the deal... I sold my friend my Orion 8004 (nib) and my 4 RE 8s to my friend. I wired the 8''s to each pair is at 4 ohms (actual 3.2-3.5ish) to bridge the amp into 2 channels (400x2@4).
Here's the problem.. one of the channels doesn't seem to be working. We've changed RCAs around (only 1 set of RCAs), and the only way to make the opposite subs work is to change the wires from one channel to the other. The slight problem is that we've only got 1 pair of subs to work at a time. There are a few things I'm questioning.
In the manual it says to bridge to 2 channels you use the FRONT inputs and it sends the signal to the back of the amp. There is a 2ch/4ch switch and we've tried switching it to either and we've tried all the sets of inputs. It only works if 1 (or 2) of the RCAs are in the front inputs. We've tried about everything bridging the amp. Tomorrow we're going to try to run wire from each sub and see if it works that way (200x4@2ohm).
Any idea how to fix this? My other friends 8004 did the same thing, he put it on 4CH and used the BOTTOM inputs (i believe front left and rear left, i dont remember) and it works.
Also, where should the selecter be.. MASTER/GAIN/COPY. Master and copy are for linking amps, but I'm not sure what the diff in MASTER/GAIN is.
