I hate to sound stupid, but what is a ref? I have the sub woofer, the box, the amp and a capacitor I guess.

You will want to post your price - at least a starting point.

A ref is a reference...either someone you've dealt with on here or ebay or something.

a ref is a reference, either someone you know here on Car Audio or possibly your feedback from ebay. with being a noob (new guy) it is just assumed that you can't be trusted (I know it sounds really bad) having some refs helps, posting a picture with your screen name and the date proves that you posess the product. If you are unable to get any refs, you may be asked to ship first, and that is cool as long as the other party has great refs here. feel free to contact any refs that they list and you can also check the feedback thread to see if there is any negative feedback for them. You will notice on the right hand side of the particular catagory there is a search icon, click on it and enter the user name you want to check out and It will bring up any posts for that person. Over all the guys are very easy to work with, but being it is the internet, ther are a lot of scammer out there, so we are trying to be as safe as possible.
