A killer unit. I'm just ready for something different. Basically the same deck as the Mcintosh MX5000. A few swirls on the faceplate but nothing too bad at all. I have the manual and the original box. I have no way of sending pics because my wife can't find the cord that goes to her digital camera nor can she find the discs that came with it. I payed close to $1000 for it. I'll let it go for $700 shipped.

Illusion Audio ND8's

These drivers are well known for their midbass capabilities and can even be used in a 2 way frontstage if you have a tweets that can crossed over low enough. Perfect working order with the original box. Cosmetically, I'd give them an 8 out of 10. One one of the drivers, the rubber that is along the edges (not the surround, but the rubber pieces that are outside the surround close to the edge of the metal basket) is partly rubbed off. Doesn't affect performance at all, and with little effort a person could take the rest of said rubber off it and would look perfectly fine. I'd take $200 shipped for them.

Morel MDT 43's

Really nice silk domed tweets. 8ohm's. You can go to Morels website and take a look at the the MT44's(?). They look essentially the same. They are deep, around 3 inches or so. I don't have alot of experience with higher end tweeters, but these are definately the best I've owned. I swapped out a pair of AVI HF30B's in a heartbeat for these. I'll sell them for $50 shipped.

The deck looks like a very nice unit.

Is it a U.S.-spec deck? That is, does it have a U.S. spec tuner, etc?

It is a very nice deck, the best Clarion has ever made in many peoples opinions. It is well known amongst old school IASCA competitors and is virtually impossible to find here in the States. The tuner is U.S. spec with 18FM and 6AM presets. I bought the deck from a guy in Thailand. It is very much a true "highend" piece, built like a tank. Burr Brown op amps and 24bit DACS. The analog volume knob has the same kind of "feel" to it that the Denon Z1 has. The three stage adjustable dither is something you just don't see either.

The ND8s have sold. If a person can deal with the depth, The Morel tweets would make a nice topend edition for a 2 way set where the mid needs to be crossed over around 2khz . I'm telling ya, for the price it'll be tough to beat them imo....

Those tweets are seriously nice. They have a very low fS due to the chamber, and will play tons of mid. Good match for a big midrange like a 6 or 8... I'd even put those in a deep dash hole like the TSX since they play so low.
