High end 12

I'm looking for options for a new sub. Getting rid of my 10" and going to a 12. Going to be powered by 750rms @ 4 ohm Audison amp going in a truck. Sealed box. I'm leaning torwards a Hertz Mille but want other suggestions.....thought about JL W7 but I'm hearing too many iffy things about them....any other ideas....??? I listen to all kinds of music and budget is around $600 for the one sub....Any other thoughts other than the Mille???? Thanks,

i was looking for a quality driver for sound and value and decided on 12w7 and i have been happy overall. had some issues with box but took care of it and it sounds amazing. i want to look into doing a ported box in the future since it is so much louder. i don't think you should give up on the 12w7 but do actual listening at a local store.

there are bunch of members selling w7 for 350-500 shipped so well within your budget and even if you try and do not like you can flip and break even or loose very little probably less than a restocking fee

the w7's are great drivers just a little expensive. a 12w7 would need more power than you have to get its potential. i have a 10w7 that i was feeding over 1k to and it was outstanding. is your amp 2 ohm stable? if so, look into a 12w6v2. imo its one of the best sq drivers out and they sound great ported as well and can get quite loud.

if you want a mix of sq and output, look into a dd 2512. would have to go ported but they are one badass woofer.

Maybe not so much a 2512 but a 3512 is quite a sub. I've heard one in a box tuned to DD specs and it was awesome.

Could also look into RE XXX

JL and what else...since we see you are using a tc sounds....let me guess tc is high end? the 2500 series is going to be the highest dd he can get with the power he wants to run....

just suggested the 2500 based on the power he had. i ran a 2510 on 1k and really liked the power and had good sq. the 3500 is excellent also but needs a lot more power to make things happen. the 9100 may be out of his $ range for a new one and would still need more power.

Thanks for the replies. I'll look into some of these My amp is the Lrx 5.1k if that helps. IIRC its good for 1150 @ 2 ohms. Anyone ever hear Focal or Morel subs? More opinions? Thanks.
