Hifonics

Just orderd Hifonics 1500 and hooked it up to a pioneer ts-w200spl and nothing. The lights turn on and everything. The question i have is does the protection light have to be on for it to work, if not when does it turn on? Im almost positive i hooked up everything correctly i already had 3-4 people look at it and they had nothing. Im having best buy look at it Sat. Maybe they can help me.

The light on the side with all the controls should be red at first then turn to green after a second or so. If it doesn't turn green you probably have something wired wrong. If it does turn green, make sure all your connections are good(good ground, *RCAs*) and also make sure you turn the gain up some(thats always a plus).

Ya the green light should be on. Make sure you have POWER, GROUND, REMOTE and SPEAKER WIRE plugged in the amp. Also, check the fuses in both the amp, and up front by the battery.

Did you check how you wire the speakers. The hifonics amp goes ++-- (which I think is strange since most other amps do not). I thought it said +-+- at first so I got nothing until I figured it out like 10 minutes after.

The green light does turn on but the red protection light just below it doesnt. Maybe it's the sub. it might not be hooked up at 2 ohm/ or its blown

make sure your rcas are in IN not in the OUT part!

Same thing happened to me during my install on my sisters car... What happened was I insalled the amp fine, LED light turns on and nothing from the sub. So I checked all the connections at it was fine it all came down to the wiring inbetween the amp and the sub. Took the sub out and the positive wire came off the speaker terminal nothing big reconnected it and it worked. So take the sb outta your box and rewire it.
